In the footsteps of Marcel Pagnol and Garlaban

Dive back into childhood and the lyrical scene of Marcel Pagnol in the heart of the village of Aubagne, just 10 minutes from La Magdeleine.

Discover his fully reconstructed birth home also including an exhibition room of the writer's memorabilia as well as a documentary on his life and his timeless works.

But Aubagne is also about the “Santons”, Christmas crib figures: an open-air market opens twice a year in summer and at Christmas. The village of “santons” meanwhile can be discovered all year round like an exceptional reproduction to discover the landscapes and traditions of Provence.

And finally, whether you prefer the classic Pagnol’s book "Manon des sources" or "La Gloire de mon père", on your way back to La Magdeleine, don't miss the "Château de ma mère". The one and only castle of the book is in the village of La Treille also called the Château de la Buzine.
